Leader of the folk pop band The Dimes, Clay has enjoyed a run of buzz fueled by his unique ability to craft catchy pop songs framed around fascinating historical themes and lyrics, as best demonstrated on the band’s 2009 release, The King Can Drink the Harbour Dry. The Dimes’ 2014 hit single, “Love and Oceans” received numerous TV and Film placements, several prominent national and global ad campaigns, and was featured in the 2015 feature film trailer for Man Up, featuring Simon Pegg. He has scored music for numerous national brand campaigns for the likes of Toyota, AT&T, Coca-Cola, Taylor Made, Instagram and others, and occasionally composes music for unscripted television shows featured on Discovery Networks. He also composes and records soundtracks for feature length indie films and film shorts, and in 2017 received an Emmy Nomination for Best Original Musical Composition for his work on the award winning film, “Voyagers Without Trace”.
